THIS WEEKS ECONOMIC DATA

This week gives investors a chance to see how many in the global economy are faring. Preliminary or flash first quarter gross domestic product will be announced for Japan, the Eurozone and most of its major member states including Germany, France and Italy. Given the continuing expansion in the UK, the Bank of England’s Quarterly Inflation Report will be read closely for signs of when the BoE might begin to tighten monetary policy.

  1. Bulls regained their hold on D-Street on Friday after Moody’s rating in a surprise move upgraded India's local and foreign currency issuer ratings to Baa2 from Baa3 and changed the outlook on the rating to stable from positive after a long gap of 13 years.
